Man of the house

Treasurer's House wouldn't be the remarkable building it is today - or a National Trust property - without the dedication of the man on the right.

The story of Treasurer's House that you'll discover on your visit is really the journey of Frank Green, a wealthy industrialist and avid antiques collector who owned the house between 1897 and 1930. He spent his time here creating thirteen wonderful rooms, each with a different period personality.

Frank himself was somewhat of an eccentric character, with a dapper sense of style! You can find out more about him on your visit, or by taking a look at our website.
